Democrat Senator receives death threats after the Left turns their back on him

Democrats are quickly becoming more and more progressive. If anyone in the party becomes too moderate, they immediately reject them.

And this Democrat Senator received death threats after the Left turned their back on him.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) was seen as a Leftist champion when he was sworn into office earlier this year.

Back in 2018, he was endorsed for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who considers himself a Democratic Socialist.

Fetterman’s Republican opponent in the 2022 Pennsylvania U.S. Senate race, Mehmet Oz, warned voters that Fetterman would rub elbows with Sanders should he win the election.

But now it looks like Fetterman is doing the opposite after making some moves that are surprisingly against the Democrat Party’s current thinking.

And because of that, the Left is beginning to reject him. However, they’re taking their rejection too far.

“What I have found out over the last couple years is that the Right, and now the Left, are hoping that I die,” Fetterman said in an interview with the New York Times.

“There are ones that are rooting for another blood clot. They have both now been wishing that I die.”

The Democrat senator has numerous health problems lately. Last May he had a stroke that almost killed him.

And in May of this year, he was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after suffering from depression.

Some Democrats likely turned on Fetterman after he showed support for Israel after Hamas terrorists attacked the nation on October 7.

“I do find it confusing where the very left progressives in America don’t seem to want to support really the only progressive nation in the region that really embraces the same kind of values I would expect we would want as a society,” Fetterman said.

Former campaign staff members have sent a letter to Fetterman, urging him to support a ceasefire in Gaza. The freshman senator has been against any sort of calls for ceasefire thus far.

“It’s difficult to respect somebody’s opinion if they’re not going to attach their name to it,” the senator said about the staff members’ letter.

Surprisingly, Fetterman has even been vocal in his disagreement with Democrats’ opposition to providing more border control at the United States’ southern border.

“I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have a secured border. I would never put Dreamers in harm’s way, or support any kind of cruelty or mass expulsion of hundreds of thousands of people,” he said.

“But it’s a reasonable conversation to talk about the border.”

Infighting within the Democrat party seems to be ramping up by the day. And it couldn’t come at a worse time with Democrats trying to win both chambers of Congress and the presidency next November.
