There are thousands of questions that need to be asked about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. But one of those questions was just answered.
As the FBI revealed scathing new details about the Trump shooter that will leave jaws on the ground.
Everyone around the world was shocked last Saturday when an attempted assassin almost ended the life of former President Donald Trump.
But in the aftermath of the event, more and more questions have risen as to what the shooter’s motive was and how he was able to get in position to nearly k*ll Trump.
However, we may finally have an answer to some of those important questions.
Trump Shooter’s Online History Exposed
In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the nation, Thomas Matthew Crooks, the individual who shot former President Donald Trump and other attendees at a Pennsylvania rally, had ominously posted on the popular online gaming platform Steam: “July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds.”
Authorities discovered this disturbing message on Crooks’s laptop, alongside searches for “Trump,” “Biden,” “when is the DNC convention,” and the “July 13 Trump rally,” according to a briefing by the Secret Service and FBI to senators, which was later confirmed by the Washington Examiner.
During a briefing with House lawmakers on Wednesday, FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate disclosed that the shooter had an account on the gaming platform, and his profile picture contained the words “July 13 will be my premiere,” as per a source familiar with the briefing.
The same source mentioned that there have been no new updates from the FBI since yesterday.
The FBI has yet to comment on allegations that the account in question might have been fake.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
Investigators did not find any evidence to suggest that Crooks had a specific ideology.
However, they did discover he possessed a second cellphone with 27 contacts, all of which law enforcement is currently tracking. Crooks was a registered Republican who last voted in 2022 and had donated $15 to a progressive group in 2021.
Further details revealed that Crooks had scouted the Trump rally on his bike before the shooting, abandoning it within view of law enforcement, according to the New York Post. The bike was found abandoned near the building where he fired shots at Trump, along with a backpack, shoes, and a shirt.
Crooks’s parents contacted law enforcement hours before the shooting to report him missing and expressed concerns about his welfare. It remains unclear if they had any additional information.
Police have not disclosed the actions taken following this contact.
Multiple investigations are now underway, scrutinizing both the actions of the shooter and the response of the Secret Service, the agency responsible for protecting Trump and rally attendees.
While there was initial speculation that the shooting might significantly impact polling with a potential surge for Trump, no substantial changes have materialized. Nonetheless, Trump maintains a lead over President Joe Biden as calls for the latter to step down continue to grow.
