Nancy Pelosi gives away the game in a stunningly stupid statement

Pelosi is losing it with every passing day. Now she’s airing out the Democrats’ dirty laundry.

And Nancy Pelosi gave away the game in a stunningly stupid statement.

Nancy Pelosi’s fingerprints are all over the Democratic Party’s recent shakeup, which has drastically reconfigured the 2024 presidential ticket. Her influence is undeniable as the party scrambles to find its footing against Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump.

Pelosi didn’t hesitate to publicly nudge President Joe Biden into making a decision about his reelection campaign, even when he seemed determined to stay in the race. Once Biden bowed out, endorsing Kamala Harris for the top spot, it was Pelosi who gave her enthusiastic backing to Harris’s choice of running mate, Tim Walz.

For Pelosi, the upheaval seems less about Biden, whom she’s known for 40 years, and more about her deep-seated animosity toward Trump, whom she dismissively refers to as “Bozo,” “a snake-oil salesman,” and “the creature from the Black Lagoon.”

“How can I say this in the nicest possible way: My goal in life was that man would never step in the White House again,” Pelosi said, punctuating her words with a slap of the table.

Pelosi made these remarks during a discussion about her new book, *The Art of Power, My Story as America’s First Woman Speaker of the House*, which calls for an end to political violence. However, it’s the unwritten chapter of her career that showcases the behind-the-scenes power she still wields, capable of altering the course of American history.

Though Pelosi dodged questions about her conversations with Biden during this chaotic time—or whether they even took place—she admitted she’s still processing her role in this seismic shift.

“At some point, I will come to terms with my own piece, my own role in this,” she said. “I think that part of all of our goals in this was to preserve his legacy, a fabulous legacy, that would go right down the drain if Bozo got elected to the White House.”

Some details of Pelosi’s involvement have emerged, as it’s been reported that she, along with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, held private talks with Biden as he wrestled with the historic decision to end his campaign.

Pelosi insists it wasn’t her intention to pressure Biden when she appeared on his favorite morning news show in early July, following his disastrous debate performance against Trump, and suggested he reconsider his reelection bid. Biden, at that point, had just sent a letter to Congress affirming his intention to stay in the race—a letter that, according to Pelosi, did not sit well with party members.

Pelosi wasn’t just concerned about the White House; she was also deeply worried about the potential impact on the control of Congress this November. She had been hearing from anxious lawmakers and, by her own admission, couldn’t see a “path to victory” for Biden.

“I was really asking for a better campaign,” she said, though she acknowledged that, in her view, Biden’s options were still open.

Early on, Pelosi had advised Biden against debating Trump, believing it was beneath the sitting president to share the stage with someone she viewed as a liar and a showman. She knew Trump would exploit the debate to spread falsehoods unchecked.

“I just thought it’d be like doggy-doo and you’re going to get it on your shoe and you’re all going to smell like him,” she said.

But Biden was confident he could handle Trump on stage, to which Pelosi responded, “I know you can handle it. But why?”

On the night of the debate, Pelosi settled in at her Washington apartment to watch, and was immediately unsettled by Biden’s performance.

“I was shocked,” she admitted. “I had never seen Biden like that.”

Pelosi recounted the advice she had always given for debates: clear your mind, don’t get bogged down in details, and be yourself. Yet, it was clear to her that none of this advice had been followed.

“He’s the president of the United States, a person who for decades has understood a vision of a country based on values, knowledge, issues, therefore judgment about all of it, with more empathy in his heart than anyone,” she said. “Who needs to prep him?”

Publicly, Pelosi questioned whether what she saw in Biden’s debate performance was just an off night or something more concerning. She pushed for a more aggressive campaign, one that would showcase Biden’s strength, rather than just resting on past accomplishments.

“Elections are about the future,” she said. “Finish the job.”
