The GOP is fighting tooth and nail to stop the Left from implementing their woke agenda. But this conservative went above and beyond.
And a Republican Governor issued a brutal takedown of this radical Democrat scheme.
Democrats have been making a strong effort to try and introduce their woke gender ideology on American citizens.
In some blue states like California, they’ve been successful, but red states are starting to fight back.
One of those states is Arkansas, where Republican Governor Sarah Sanders has had enough of the Left’s agenda.
On Tuesday, her office revealed that the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) would no longer allow individuals to use “X” as a gender option on their state-issued ID.
Instead, they must use the gender that was given to them on their birth certificate, which is either male or female.
“This policy is just common sense. Only women give birth, men shouldn’t play women’s sports, and there are only two genders,” Gov. Sanders said to The Daily Wire.
“As long as I’m Governor, Arkansas state government will not endorse nonsense.”
Any Arkansas resident who has an “X” on their ID is allowed to keep it until their license is expired. But once it’s expired they have to update it to say either male or female.
Because of a policy that was initiated in 2010, Arkansas IDs were allowed to have “X” on them.
However, that policy was discovered by DFA Secretary Jim Hudson when he began looking over policies in the department back in 2023.
“This change announced today reflects a commonsense approach that ensures a license or ID issued by the State of Arkansas is based on objective, verifiable information,” Hudson explained.
“All of our stakeholders in law enforcement, other government agencies, caregivers, schools, and businesses depend on DFA-issued licenses and IDs to keep our communities safe and to prevent fraud. The discontinued policy is not supported by Arkansas law and was never subject to public comment and review by the Arkansas Legislative Council (ALC), as required by the Administrative Procedures Act.”
“We are committed to implementing this new policy in a manner that is respectful towards all of our customers.”
This isn’t the first time Sanders and her administration has gone after the Left’s radical gender ideology.
She previously put together an executive order that would take away “woke, anti-women” language that was present in government documents.
For example, “pregnant people” would be replaced with “pregnant women” or “pregnant mom.”
Thankfully America has governors in red states like Sarah Sanders, who are willing to stand up to the Left’s insane woke policies and agenda.
