Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is tired of Joe Biden’s antics. That’s why he’s taking matters into his own hands.
And now Ron DeSantis has assumed Joe Biden’s job with one huge executive order.
Southern states like Texas and Florida have seen a massive influx of illegal immigrants making their way into their communities.
It’s put a massive strain on the communities, and even a middle-America city like Denver is feeling the impacts.
Thanks to President Joe Biden’s open border policies, hundreds of illegal immigrants continue to enter the United States while the southern border is still open.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) requested on Friday that the state’s National Guard assist local authorities in the Florida Keys as they deal with the entrance of hundreds of unauthorized immigrants.
DeSantis slammed Biden for being unaware of the problem and cited his “lawless” immigration practices in an executive order.
“As the negative impacts of [President] Biden’s lawless immigration policies continue unabated, the burden of the Biden Administration’s failure falls on local law enforcement who lack the resources to deal with the crisis,” DeSantis said in a press release.
As illegal immigrants try to enter the state, the directive instructs Florida law enforcement agencies to provide resources to local governments.
“That is why I am activating the National Guard and directing state resources to help alleviate the strain on local resources. When Biden continues to ignore his legal responsibilities, we will step in to support our communities,” DeSantis continued.
In an effort to stop migrants from entering Florida, DeSantis will send out planes and helicopters as well as more marine patrols.
Over the course of the New Year’s holiday alone, more than 700 illegal Cuban immigrants arrived in the Florida Keys, and it is anticipated that this number will rise in the days that follow.
DeSantis stated that since August, law enforcement has encountered more than 8,000 illegal migrants off the coast of Florida, making it “particularly burdensome” for the organization to allocate the resources required to manage the hundreds of illegals and maintain public safety.
The governor of Florida has made it clear that he will not serve as Biden’s puppet in pursuit of his goals. In recent months, he has drawn criticism from Democrats for sending undocumented immigrants who enter his state to Democratic-run “sanctuary” communities.
What Ron DeSantis is showing is that sometimes you have to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself if no one else is.
Not only is Joe Biden not doing the work of the U.S. President to protect American sovereignty by securing our borders, but he’s actively ignoring his duty.
His trip to the southern border was a joke and lasted only a few hours.
The point of a U.S. President taking a trip to the southern border is not to make it a checklist box that they can check off once they’ve made the trip.
The point is so the White House administration can better serve the American people by learning how better protect our borders.
But Joe Biden and the Democrats aren’t interested in doing that at all.
