The former first lady has been out of the spotlight after leaving the White House. But now she’s back in a big way.

And the 2024 election just got turned on its head after Melania Trump made this unpredictable move.

Melania Trump could very well be heading back to the White House should her husband Donald Trump win the presidency in 2024.

But in order for that to happen, she and the former president are going to need to make some strides on the campaign trail.

And that’s exactly what the former first lady did by making a rare public appearance at an event at the National Archives last Friday.

Melania Trump spoke at the event which celebrated Bill of Rights Day.

It was deemed an apolitical event to highlight the naturalization of 25 new United States’ citizens, but regardless, it can still help give Donald Trump a boost in the polls.

Melania was invited by U.S. Archivist Colleen Shogan to speak at the function and tell her story about being an immigrant and becoming a U.S. citizen.

She still participated despite her being mostly away from campaigning with her husband.

If elected, Donald Trump has promised to enact harsher immigration policies to combat the southern border crisis.

That also emphasizes the importance of Melania discussing the legal pathway to a U.S. citizenship at the National Archives.

“I recall feeling a tremendous sense of pride and belonging after I recited the US oath of allegiance, as the pathway to citizenship is arduous,” the former first lady said.

“[U.S. citizenship] means actively participating in the democratic process and guarding our freedom. It also means leading by example and contributing to our society.”

“It is a life-altering experience that takes time, determination, and sometimes even tremendous strength.”

Melania’s presence at the ceremony comes at a time when Donald Trump has been caught up in a legal battle between himself and the National Archives over documents he was allowed to keep once departing the White House in 2021.

It’s also her first public appearance since attending former first lady Rosalynn Carter’s funeral.

Melania Trump was joined at the funeral service by the other living first ladies, both current and former.

Donald Trump’s current Republican primary polling numbers are outstanding according to the latest average from RealClearPolitics.

And Melania’s ability to contribute on the campaign trail could very well push him past the finish line.
