The Left can’t help themselves. Everything they do is covered in scandal.

And the Trump campaign is on the attack after the DNC is caught in a massive coverup involving Tim Walz.

At the Democratic National Convention (DNC), Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, was introduced as a “command sergeant major” during an “AAPI Caucus Meeting.”

However, a key detail regarding his military service has stirred controversy. Walz lost that rank before retiring from the Minnesota National Guard, a fact highlighted by a Trump 2024 campaign X account, which shared a video of the event.

Trump War Room, “The Official War Room account of the 2024 Trump campaign,” according to the account’s bio on X, posted the video of Walz’s introduction with the caption, “Freakish Timothy Walz was just introduced the DNC ‘AAPI Caucus Meeting’ as ‘Command Sergeant Major.'”

“Walz never completed the coursework to become a Command Sergeant Major and abandoned his unit right as they were deploying to Iraq.”

As the Trump War Room account mentions, Walz never completed the necessary coursework to maintain the rank of command sergeant major. He was promoted provisionally but had the promotion rescinded on May 15, 2005, just a day before his official retirement.

Despite retiring at the lower rank of “master sergeant,” Walz has repeatedly referred to himself in campaign ads, interviews, and public appearances as a “retired command sergeant major.” This rank suggests that he served as the highest-ranking enlisted leader of his battalion.

While Walz did temporarily serve in that role, his military career ended earlier than expected when he retired as his battalion was preparing to deploy to Iraq.

Questions have arisen as to why he claimed this rank despite retiring at a lower position. Veterans who served alongside Walz have also voiced allegations that he may have retired early to avoid deployment.

Neither Walz nor Vice President Kamala Harris has directly addressed the discrepancy in his rank or the veterans’ claims about his early retirement. Instead, the Harris-Walz campaign has dismissed the accusations as a Republican attempt to discredit his service.

However, in 2018, Walz did acknowledge that he “misspoke” when he claimed to have carried weapons “in war,” despite never being deployed to a combat zone.

The Trump Campaign’s Response To Walz’s Stolen Valor

Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance aren’t interested in discrediting the fact that Walz served in the U.S. military.

What they’re concerned with is that he’s lying about his rank in order to elevate his status as a veteran.

No matter one’s politics, it’s admirable for someone to serve and protect our freedoms as Americans.

But what’s not admirable is lying about the way you served and your rank as a member of the United States military.

And that’s exactly what Vance has hammered home during his many attacks on Walz’s radical Leftist record and stolen valor.
