President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy are in a showdown to see who will blink first on the debt ceiling issue that America is facing at the moment.
It’s ridiculous that Congress and the White House can’t figure this out before the last minute like a school kid doing his homework 20 minutes before class, but this is the state of politics in America today.
Joe Biden and his Democrat administration is largely to blame though, because he refuses to concede any compromises that the House Republicans are searching for.
House Republicans are just asking for some form of government spending cuts to at least start to address the debt issue that’s facing the federal government.
Joe Biden claims that the debt ceiling and national deficit are two entirely different issues, which just doesn’t make sense whatsoever.
McCarthy recently had a meeting with Joe Biden at the White House, though, in an attempt to come to some form of an agreement to address the debt ceiling deadline that’s fast approaching.
But you’re not going to like what Kevin McCarthy found out during his meeting with Joe Biden at the White House.
Joe Biden told the media recently that he was “hoping Speaker McCarthy is just waiting to negotiate,” implying McCarthy hasn’t been willing to negotiate in good faith.
But the truth seems to be the opposite.
Kevin McCarthy went nuclear on the Biden administration saying that he’s a “puppet” for the “radical socialists” in the Democrat party right now.
“President Biden doesn’t think there is a single dollar of savings to be found in the federal government’s budget,” McCarthy said on Twitter.
“He’d rather be the first president in history to default on the debt than to risk upsetting the radical socialists calling the shots for Democrats right now,” he continued.

McCarthy alleges that the Biden administration is holding $60 billion in taxpayer dollars hostage that went unspent from the COVID-19 pandemic days.
But it seems as though the Biden administration doesn’t want to return that money to the taxpayers.
The White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has said that the Biden administration is “ready to meet any time” to “reduce the deficit.”
But all signs point to that not being true as they haven’t pointed to one thing they’d be willing to cut to make headway in addressing the deficit in a real way.
