The sky is falling for the radical Left. They can’t believe one of their own is working with Donald Trump.
And Congressional Democrats are in complete shock after this Leftist announces their decision to work with Trump.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) expressed his willingness on Tuesday to consider President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for top positions in the incoming administration, emphasizing the importance of engaging with each candidate directly.
“I believe that it’s appropriate and the responsibility of a U.S. Senator to have a conversation with President-elect Trump’s nominees,” Fetterman shared in a post on X. “That’s why I met with Elise Stefanik and Pete Hegseth, just wrapped with Tulsi Gabbard, and look forward to my meetings with others soon.”
Trump has tapped former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) as his pick for director of national intelligence, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, and Pete Hegseth as his choice for secretary of defense.
In his post, Fetterman noted that his voting decisions would be based on informed conversations with the nominees. “My votes will come from an open-mind and an informed opinion after having a conversation with them. That’s not controversial, it’s my job,” he added.

Hegseth highlighted his meeting with Fetterman in a post on X last week, sharing a picture of the senator’s remarks to CNN’s Manu Raju about keeping an open mind regarding the Department of Defense nomination.
“Thank you [Fetterman] for your fairness, courage & hospitality. I appreciate our time together — and your commitment to the troops, American defense & our ally Israel,” Hegseth wrote, adding, “And, from a Vikings fan…go Steelers.”
Stefanik also shared her positive experience with Fetterman on social media, posting a photo of the two smiling and giving thumbs up after their meeting.
“Thank you to [Fetterman] for hosting a very productive meeting where we discussed our shared commitment to standing with Israel and combating antisemitism,” Stefanik said. “Senator Fetterman shared his ideas for strong national security leadership and I highlighted my ideas on implementing President [Trump’s] America First peace through strength national security agenda.”

Fetterman responded warmly to Stefanik’s nomination, stating, “Always was a hard YES for [Stefanik] but it was a pleasure to have a conversation.” He further expressed his support for defunding UNRWA, citing concerns about its “documented Hamas infiltration” and his confidence in Stefanik’s ability to hold the United Nations accountable for “endemic antisemitism and blatant anti-Israel views.”

I support defunding UNRWA for its documented Hamas infiltration and fully look forward to her holding the @UN accountable for its endemic antisemitism and blatant anti-Israel views. https://t.co/DvyYIYCd0h
Fetterman has also hinted at his openness to supporting Dr. Mehmet Oz, Trump’s nominee to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
“If Dr. Oz is about protecting and preserving Medicare and Medicaid, I’m voting for the dude,” Fetterman said. The comment comes after Fetterman defeated Oz in a contentious 2022 Senate race.
The senator’s willingness to consider Trump’s nominees stands out in a politically divided climate. Other Democrats, however, have signaled similar approaches to evaluating nominees.
During a CNBC appearance alongside Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) pushed back against Cruz’s teasing assertion that she would vote for all of Trump’s picks.
“Amy told me she’s voting for all of Trump’s nominees,” Cruz joked.
“Stop!” Klobuchar replied with a smile. “The last time, I voted for half his nominees on the Cabinet because I carefully reviewed each one and made decisions.”
Fetterman’s approach suggests that bipartisan cooperation could play a role in the confirmation process, despite the broader partisan divides – particularly among the Left – in Washington.
