The Bidens and the Pelosis are no longer allies. Their friendship has been crushed in a matter of months.

And Pelosi just started a war with Jill Biden that has no sign of stopping.

Pelosi’s Daughter Slams Jill Biden, Likening Her to Lady Macbeth in Political Rift

Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, launched a sharp critique of First Lady Jill Biden over the weekend, drawing a dramatic comparison to Shakespeare’s infamous Lady Macbeth. The clash comes amid lingering tensions between the two political families following last year’s Democratic rebellion against President Biden’s re-election campaign.

The first lady recently expressed frustration about the fallout, including Nancy Pelosi’s perceived role in the mutiny. In response, Alexandra Pelosi defended her mother’s loyalty to President Biden, asserting to Politico, “If I was Lady McBiden, I’d put on my big girl pants, play the long game, and think about my husband’s legacy.”

The younger Pelosi added pointedly, “There aren’t that many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi is one of them.”

In an interview with The Washington Post, Jill Biden reflected on her decades-long friendship with Nancy Pelosi and expressed dismay over the Democratic revolt that eventually pushed her husband out of the 2024 presidential race.

“We were friends for 50 years,” Jill stated, adding, “Let’s just say I was disappointed with how it unfolded. I don’t know. I learned a lot about human nature.”

The president faced mounting pressure to withdraw after a lackluster debate performance in June against former President Donald Trump. While Nancy Pelosi denied actively orchestrating the effort to sideline Biden, she admitted that anxious Democrats sought her guidance.

“There were no threats,” a source close to Pelosi explained to Politico. “She just told him the truth — he was losing in every poll and people had lost confidence.”

Pelosi’s public remarks during the upheaval stirred speculation about her role. On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, she appeared to question the president’s resolve to continue his campaign, even as he publicly affirmed his intention to run.

While bestowing praise on Biden — at one point suggesting he belonged on Mount Rushmore — Pelosi also hinted at concerns about his viability as a candidate. After Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in as the Democratic nominee and ultimately lost to Trump, Pelosi reflected that an earlier decision from Biden might have improved the party’s chances.

“Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in that and been stronger going forward,” Pelosi told The New York Times.

She also noted that Biden’s swift endorsement of Harris effectively eliminated any opportunity for a competitive primary.

The fallout strained the once-close relationship between Biden and Pelosi. Although Biden awarded Pelosi the Presidential Medal of Freedom shortly before the revolt, he later acknowledged going months without speaking to her.

Reflecting on the political turbulence, Biden told CBS News Sunday Morning, “I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic — you’d be interviewing me about why did Nancy Pelosi say [something].”

Alexandra Pelosi, a filmmaker known for her outspoken defense of her mother, is no stranger to the political fray.

Two years ago, she produced a documentary chronicling the January 6 Capitol riot, highlighting her mother’s response to the crisis.

This latest public jab at Jill Biden adds another layer to the complex and often fraught dynamics within Democratic leadership circles.
