The Left is at it again. They desperately want to remove Trump from office.
And President Trump is facing an impeachment threat from a top enemy in Congress.
Just weeks into his second term, President Donald Trump is already facing another impeachment effort from House Democrats.
On Wednesday, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) announced his intent to introduce articles of impeachment, citing concerns over Trump’s proposed U.S. intervention in Gaza.
“The movement to impeach the president has begun,” Green declared. “I rise to announce that I will bring Articles of Impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.”
The move follows Trump’s comments during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier in the week, where he suggested that the United States should take control of the Gaza Strip.
“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site, and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out,” Trump stated.
He framed the idea as an economic opportunity, adding, “create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area. Do a real job, do something different.”
Earlier that day, in an Oval Office meeting with Netanyahu, Trump also floated the idea of relocating Gaza’s entire population, according to The Daily Wire.
“We’re talking about probably 1.7 million people,” he said to reporters. “I think they’ll be resettled in areas where they can live a beautiful life and not be worried about dying every day.”
The Gaza Strip has remained a focal point of conflict between Israel and Hamas since the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, with a temporary ceasefire and hostage agreement reached earlier this month.
Green’s impeachment push is familiar territory. Throughout Trump’s first term, the Texas congressman repeatedly introduced impeachment articles, though none gained enough traction.
Trump, however, did face two impeachments—one related to Ukraine and the other to January 6—both ending in Senate acquittals.
This latest effort is expected to face an uphill battle. With Republicans controlling both the House and Senate, impeachment is unlikely to move forward.
Elon Musk, now spearheading cost-cutting measures in Trump’s newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), dismissed the effort altogether.
Responding to a video of Green’s announcement on X, Musk simply remarked, “Nobody cares.”
