Politicians have been notorious for using their position of power to benefit themselves.
But AOC took the cake after she begged President Biden to cancel student loan debt.
In 2022, a Marist poll came out that showed how poorly the President’s approval rating was among young people.
Ocasio-Cortez saw the poll and called for Biden to “cancel student loan debt, take significant climate action, and pass voting rights.”

When President Biden caved and announced a plan to cancel student debt, AOC decided that it wasn’t enough.
“I am very grateful for this watershed moment of a first step – it is so encouraging, thrilling, and has already changed SO many people’s lives.”
“But I am also thinking about how this still leaves a question mark for those in the highest amounts of debt, who need the most amount of help. So let’s celebrate and keep going” the Congresswoman concluded.
According to Fox News, Ocasio-Cortez’s heavy push for student loan forgiveness shouldn’t come as a shock after a recent financial disclosure was released by a New York lawmaker.
“The New York lawmaker’s recently released financial disclosure shows she maintained between $15,001 and $50,000 in student loan debt in 2022. During this time, the progressive champion, who collects a $174,000 salary as a U.S. House of Representatives member, consistently advocated for actions that would also directly benefit herself.”
With the curtain revealed, the Congresswoman will have to answer a lot of questions moving forward.
One of those questions will be whether or not she can justify her constant pressure on Biden to cancel student debt as an act of selflessness and progressivism.
Despite her answer, many Americans will be skeptical of her true motives.
Fox News also went on to report that the debt the Congresswoman has accumulated has not changed since 2022.
And when asked for comment from Fox News, Ocasio-Cortez and her team declined.
This leaves many wondering whether or not she’ll continue to press forward with her support of student loan forgiveness now that her financial disclosures have been released.
