Joe Biden claims that no one is above the law. Yet he collaborates with the Department of Justice to help keep him out of trouble.
And Americans are begging for answers after the DOJ was found covering for Biden in this corrupt way.
Special counsel Robert Hur’s interview with President Joe Biden last year was damning.
The transcripts of the interview show that Biden has a very poor memory. When questioned by Hur, the president forgot several key dates in his life, including when his son Beau passed away and when he was vice president.
Hur’s interview was part of an investigation over whether or not Biden mishandled documents that were classified.
Hur suggested after his investigation that the president shouldn’t be charged and he would be viewed as a sympathetic, old man by the jury.
But that hasn’t stopped Republicans from requesting the audio tapes of Joe Biden’s interview with Robert Hur.
Biden decided to use executive privilege to block the release of the tapes.
Unsurprisingly, Attorney General Merrick Garland also agrees with keeping the tapes locked away. Not only that but the Department of Justice (DOJ) has now said that releasing the audio tapes from Biden’s interview could result in artificial intelligence (AI) being used to create fake recordings.
“The Justice Department is seizing on an increasingly common fear as it fights to prevent the release of the audio of President Joe Biden’s interview with former special counsel Robert Hur: It could spawn deepfakes,” according to Politico.
“The concern – raised as part of an overnight court filing late Friday – is the latest step in a multi-pronged legal battle aimed at forcing the Justice Department to release the audio, which Biden claimed executive privilege over last month.”
The DOJ, according to Politico, also wrote a nearly 50-page court filing that warns of the alleged dangers of AI being used to alter the interview’s audio recordings.
“The passage of time and advancements in audio, artificial intelligence, and ‘deep fake’ technologies only amplify concerns about malicious manipulation of audio files. If the audio recording is released here, it is easy to foresee that it could be improperly altered, and that the altered file could be passed off as an authentic recording and widely distributed,” the DOJ’s filing said.
At this point, the DOJ and President Biden are using a plethora of excuses to try and prevent the recordings from being released.
The transcripts have already been released, so individuals can cross-check any recording of the interview that they hear with the original transcript to see if AI was used in any way.
Not only that, but there are plenty of other audio and video tapes that are out in the public of Biden speaking. How come the DOJ isn’t worried about those?
Those close to President Biden claim that the interview wasn’t as bad as Hur made it out to be.
Bob Bauer, an attorney for the president, claims that, “Republican counsel Hur’s insinuations in the report don’t correspond with my recollection of how President Biden’s interview went. I don’t believe they should be in the report. This case was open and shut from the very first day. At every turn President Biden cooperated.”
If that’s the case, then why is Joe Biden and his DOJ so adamant on keeping the audio tapes of his interview with Robert Hur under wraps?
As Fox News commentator Stephen L. Miller said on X, “All they have to do is release the recordings and transcripts.”
