Biden has made a massive mistake. It could set back Leftists for years.

And Democrats are threatening to blow up their party after what Joe Biden just did.

Democratic Party Tensions Boil Over Biden’s Controversial Decisions

As resentment toward President Biden grows within the Democratic Party, top donors are reportedly threatening to withhold funding for his future presidential library. The backlash stems from two contentious decisions: his pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, and his prolonged stay in the 2024 presidential race, which some have criticized as a “selfish” miscalculation.

Following President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive victory on Election Day, frustration within Democratic ranks is mounting. Critics argue that Biden’s unpopularity played a role in the party’s defeat, and concerns about his legacy now cloud discussions of his presidential library, which is expected to be built in Delaware.

“If they had their s–t together, they would have been doing the work on this over the summer — right after he announced he was stepping aside,” a “well-wired Democrat” said to Axios. “Now, it’s just too late. Hopefully they are rightsizing their expectations and budget!”

Another Democratic insider echoed the sentiment to the New York Post, stating that it “certainly tracks with how the party feels about him now and the legacy that will follow him.”

The Fallout from Hunter Biden’s Pardon

The decision to pardon Hunter Biden has deepened divisions within the party. On Sunday, President Biden announced the pardon, reversing prior promises not to intervene in his son’s legal troubles. The move came less than four months after Biden exited the 2024 race under pressure from senior congressional Democrats and key donors. His withdrawal followed a faltering debate performance against Trump in June, which sparked calls for a change in leadership.

Hunter Biden faced mounting legal troubles in recent years. In June, he was convicted on three felony charges related to a 2018 gun purchase, during which he allegedly lied about his drug use on a mandatory form.

He was also indicted in Los Angeles on nine counts, including three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanors, linked to a four-year scheme to evade at least $1.4 million in federal taxes. Sentencing hearings for both cases had been scheduled for December before the pardon nullified them.

The Justice Department summarized Hunter’s actions at the time of his conviction: “Hunter Biden engaged in a four-year scheme in which he chose not to pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019 and to evade the assessment of taxes for tax year 2018 when he filed false returns.”

The pardon has drawn ire from Democrats who believe Biden mishandled the situation. Some suggested that the move might have been less controversial had Biden included Hunter on a broader list of pardons, such as individuals convicted due to injustices—or even pardoned Trump himself for his conviction in the New York “hush money” case.

A Stained Legacy

A former Biden aide expressed dismay at the president’s decision, calling it “a stain on his legacy.” Speaking to the New York Post, the aide remarked, “It’s a shame that President Biden put his family and personal life above the country.”

The controversy over the pardon is only the latest in a series of challenges for the outgoing president. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has indicated that Biden plans to issue additional pardons and clemencies before his term concludes in less than two months.

Among those reportedly being considered are Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), according to Politico.

As the Democratic Party grapples with the fallout of Biden’s choices and Trump’s electoral victory, questions linger about how the 82-year-old president’s tenure will be remembered.

For many, the Hunter Biden pardon and the Democrats’ loss in the 2024 race mark defining moments of his legacy, casting a long shadow over his final months in office.
