The Left can’t afford to lose momentum heading into 2024. But that’s starting to look highly unlikely.
And Democrats are on the brink of defeat after what this potential new Speaker proposed.
The U.S. House of Representatives have been in quite the whirlwind ever since House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was ousted as speaker.
Several potential names have popped up for his eventual replacement, with Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and even former President Donald Trump listed as possible candidates.
However, there’s quite the surge around Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) being the best option to replace McCarthy.
Jordan seems ready for the challenge, and has already expressed several action items he plans to tackle if he’s fortunate enough to be voted as House Speaker.
One of these issues is Ukraine and the amount of tax dollars that American citizens see carelessly sent over to the European country.
Rep. Jordan plans to completely axe anymore proposals to send funds to Ukraine.
CNN’s Manu Raju discussed this with the Congressman, asking, “What about Ukraine? Are you willing to move forward with an aid package if you’re speaker?”
“I’m against that. What I understand is at some point we’re going to have to deal with this appropriations process in the right way. And we’re going to try to do that in the next…41 days,” Jordan responded.
“The most pressing issue on American’s mind is not Ukraine. It is the border situation and crime on the streets.”
"I'm against that," Jim Jordan, a candidate for speaker, says of an aid package for Ukraine, going further than McCarthy.

Sending financial aid to Ukraine has been a debate Democrats and Republicans have had for almost two years now.
Even some RINO Republicans believe it’s in the United States’ best interests to continue it’s financial support for the eastern European nation.
Jim Jordan’s straightforward answer on this issue, will most definitely appeal to hard-core conservatives in the House who are against the Government’s rampant spending.
The Representative from Ohio also wants to know “what the end goal of U.S. support is and how the money is being spent,” according to reports from Axios.
Jordan is hoping his stance on Ukraine, among other strong conservative positions, will help to unite the GOP in it’s quest to fix the problems in America that have originated from the Biden administration.
“We are at a critical crossroad in our nation’s history. Now is the time for our Republican conference to come together to keep our promises to Americans,” Rep. Jordan said in a letter penned to Congressional Republicans.
“The problems we face are challenging, but they are not insurmountable. We can focus on the changes that improve the country and unite us in offering real solutions.”
