DNC speaker makes wild claim that’s turned Democrats into an utter laughing stock

The Left’s ability to embarrass themselves shouldn’t be underestimated. They can practically do it in their sleep.

And this DNC speaker made a wild claim that’s turned Democrats into an utter laughingstock.

In an unhinged address at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Cecile Richards, former president of Planned Parenthood, made an insane declaration about the power of abortion.

Richards, who led Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018, highlighted the significance of allowing women to make their own healthcare decisions, asserting that women are “unstoppable” when granted the freedom to have an abortion.

“When women are free to make their own decisions about their lives and follow our dreams, we are unstoppable,” Richards said. She continued by addressing the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, noting, “when Roe v. Wade was overturned, a generation of young people lost that freedom.”

Richards used the stage to touch on an example from Mississippi involving a 12-year-old r*pe survivor who had to carry her pregnancy to term due to the state’s abortion ban.

“Like Ashley, a 12-year-old r*pe survivor in Mississippi. Because of her state’s abortion ban, she started seventh grade with a newborn. That’s the Republican promise of state’s rights,” she remarked while shockingly sounding upset that the 12-year-old should have had the option to end the life of their unborn child.

But in a striking juxtaposition, Richards also celebrated the birth of her own grandchild.

“Last year, I became a grandmother. And during my daughter’s pregnancy, nothing mattered more to me than her health,” she said, adding that politics should never stand in the way of healthcare. She then used the moment to advocate for the election of Kamala Harris, a candidate who has taken a firm stance on protecting abortion rights, without specifying any restrictions she would endorse.

Despite battling brain cancer, a diagnosis she revealed earlier this year, Richards remains committed to the fight for abortion access.

The alliance between Democrats and Planned Parenthood remains a key element in the broader political landscape.

Planned Parenthood’s political arm has been pivotal in supporting pro-abortion candidates, and Democratic lawmakers continue to push for policies that protect abortion access, even as restrictions mount across various states.

But while abortion limitations have increased since the fall of Roe v. Wade, the number of abortions performed nationwide has actually risen.

Richards’ speech comes as Planned Parenthood affiliates work to bring abortion rights to the ballot in nearly a dozen states.

Their efforts aim to enshrine the right to abortion in state constitutions, which Democrats believe could influence voter turnout and tilt election results in their favor.

During the DNC, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers made headlines by offering free abortions outside the convention through its mobile clinic, emphasizing the group’s unwavering commitment to ending the lives of innocent unborn children.

Richards’ asinine message was clear: abortion, in her view, is fundamental to women’s ability to thrive, and the fight to preserve those rights is far from over.

But what she and many of her other pals in the evil abortion industry don’t realize, is that abortion is not only harmful to unborn babies, but it’s also physically and emotionally harmful to the women who get them.

Yet the Left doesn’t want to portray abortion in such a light.

Instead they want to sell it to the masses as something that will make a woman’s life infinitely better.

But of course that couldn’t be further from the truth.
