Joe Biden has a bad habit of not being able to tell the truth. It’s the only way he can defend his record.
And President Biden collapsed during an interview after spewing a barrage of lies.
In a recent interview aired on “CBS News Sunday Morning,” President Joe Biden made a series of misleading claims regarding his presidency and his former opponent, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The interview, conducted by Robert Costa, raised eyebrows as Biden’s assertions were left largely unchallenged, with Costa avoiding any tough questions about Biden’s tenure as president.
During the discussion, Biden asserted that before he dropped out, polls indicated that his race against Trump was “neck and neck.”
This statement contrasts with the reality of public polling at the time, particularly after his poor debate performance against Trump in late June.
Biden attributed his underwhelming debate showing to being “sick,” yet insisted that he had “no serious problem.”
Biden also explained his decision to exit the race, citing pressure from other Democrats who warned that his continued candidacy might harm their chances in the election.
He emphasized that he didn’t want to be a distraction for the party. Additionally, he humorously noted that his age played a role, admitting, “I can’t even say how old I am.”
The president reiterated that his top priority in office has been to prevent Trump from returning to the White House.
He revisited his often-cited reason for running for president, the Charlottesville incident, and once again repeated the widely debunked claim that Trump referred to neo-Nazis and white supremacists as “very fine people.”
This statement has been thoroughly discredited, even by fact-checkers known for their left-leaning views.
Biden went on to accuse Trump of representing the Ku Klux Klan in the White House, claiming that their members felt emboldened under Trump’s leadership. He falsely stated that Trump had provided an “ally” for these groups, despite Trump’s numerous public condemnations of white supremacy.
When discussing the upcoming transfer of power, Biden expressed doubts about a peaceful transition, misrepresenting Trump’s comments about a “bloodbath.” Trump’s remark was actually in reference to potential job losses under another Democratic administration, not to any violent outcome.
Another of Biden’s dubious claims was that his administration had “created 16 million jobs, real new jobs.”
However, this figure is misleading, as a substantial portion of those jobs—approximately 9 million—were lost during the pandemic and merely represented people returning to work.
Reflecting on his time in office, Biden remarked that his administration’s biggest mistake was not putting up signs that said, “Joe did it.” He then criticized “MAGA Republicans,” accusing them of disrespecting political institutions, moments after calling the Supreme Court “so out of whack” and suggesting it needed to be reformed.
