Her passing comes as former President Trump is dealing with a civil case in the state of New York.
The case came about after New York Attorney General Letitia James put together a lawsuit against Trump, alleging that he exaggerated his financials and lied to banks.
As the case comes to a close, Trump and Chris Kise, his lawyer, were working to try and have Judge Arthur Engoron allow the former president to deliver a closing statement.
Engoron was warming up to the idea on several conditions which involved Trump not being able to “[introduce] new evidence or [comment] on ‘irrelevant matters’ and said he could not ‘deliver a campaign speech’ or speak ill of court staff or the attorney general,” reports Fox News.
But after the former president’s mother-in-law passed away, Kise asked Engoron if Trump would be able to delay his closing statement so he could be with his wife and family during the difficult time.
And in an appalling move, Engoron decided to not allow Kise’s request but also decided to reject Trump’s ability to deliver any sort of closing statement because he missed the extended deadline.

Donald Trump simply wanted to spend time with his wife during their grieving process. He had no intention of delaying his closing statements in order to try and alter the outcome of the case.
You’d think that would be a reasonable excuse to miss time in court right?
Not according to Judge Engoron who clearly has a personal vendetta against Trump.
And if the radical Left had their way, not only would Trump be barred from spending time with his family, he would also be immediately hauled off to prison for the rest of his life.
Engoron is just showing his true colors in this situation.
He’s proving that their isn’t a compassionate or empathetic bone in his body.
And he’s also proving just how lousy of a judge he is.
