The shadowy Leftist cabal Soros has funded for decades is making its move. Trump’s indictment is just one of a long line of disgusting acts.
And what George Soros just did to Donald Trump is shameless.
Conservatives have been warning the American public about the influence of big-money donors like George Soros for years.
Until recently, even mentioning his name would spark Leftists to scream that Republicans were pushing conspiracy theories.
But now everyone acknowledges Soros’ bankrolling of the most radical Left-wing projects in the country.
One of his major initiatives has been installing liberal district attorneys to execute the law through a Leftist lens.
And many of the political Right have pointed out that Alvin Bragg, the liberal DA of New York who indicted Trump, is a Soros-funded agent.
But Soros is backpedaling as fast as he can.
After former President Donald Trump’s indictment, liberal billionaire George Soros distanced himself from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, stating he’d never met Bragg and had never donated to his campaign.
“As for Alvin Bragg, as a matter of fact, I did not contribute to his campaign and I don’t know him,” Soros told Semafor. “I think some on the right would rather focus on far-fetched conspiracy theories than on the serious charges against the former president.”
Soros’ remarks come after President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis referred to Bragg as “Soros-backed,” a characterization shared by many other Republicans.
While Soros did not directly contribute to Bragg’s campaign, he did provide $1 million to the Color of Change PAC in May 2021, which spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting Bragg’s candidacy shortly after receiving the payment.
According to Federal Election Commission records, Soros’ contribution was the highest the Color of Change PAC received during the 2022 election cycle, accounting for about 25% of the group’s $3.9 million total.
The financier’s district attorney operation typically entails his longtime treasurer, Whitney Tymas, forming political action committees in places where he is targeting contests. Once established, he injects funds into the PACs, which typically spend hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting his favorite candidates.
Meanwhile, Soros’ family members publicly supported Bragg’s campaign. According to Fox News Digital, Soros’ son, Jonathan Soros, and Jonathan’s wife, Jennifer Allan Soros, gave directly to Bragg’s group.
According to state papers, Jonathan Soros deposited a $10,000 check to the now-district attorney’s coffers on April 26, 2021.
Jennifer Allan Soros donated a $10,000 gift to the campaign three days later, on April 29. While other individuals contributed more directly to his committee, the couple was among the field’s largest donors.
The contributions were particularly unusual for the couple, as they do not usually contribute to district attorney contests, but they have given to other New York political campaigns and issue groups.
The indictment of former President Donald Trump by a Manhattan grand jury on Thursday night has renewed pressure on Bragg, who oversaw the investigation into Trump’s alleged violations of state campaign finance regulations.
