Clinton is used to protestors disrupting her speeches. But she never expected this to happen.
And a wild protest catches Hillary Clinton by surprise during a speaking event.
Former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was at Columbia University to give a two-hour lecture on the role of women in the peace process.
She was also joined by Dr. Keren Yarhi-Milo, who is the school’s dean of International and Public Affairs.
About an hour in to the lecture, 30 of the 300 students present, packed up their things and walked out in protest of the university’s alleged involvement in sharing the names of pro-Hamas student protestors to the public.
The names and photos of the students were allegedly put on the side of a truck, along with the phrase, “Columbia’s Leading Antisemites.”
The student protestors believed that Columbia didn’t take any action to stop the “doxxing” of the students and said that the pictures were taken from a website that was “private and secure.”
The pro-Hamas protestors who’s names and photos were shared, were part of campus groups that had put together a letter that blamed Israel for the attacks by Hamas on October 7 that resulted in the deaths of almost 1,500 Israelis.
After the 30 students walked out of Clinton and Yarhi-Milo’s lecture, they waited in the lobby for them.
However, according to The New York Times, both Clinton and Yarhi-Milo left via a side door so they wouldn’t have to confront the protestors.
Clinton has already faced protestors during appearances at Columbia, specifically when a heckler recently got into a screaming match with her over Joe Biden’s failed foreign policy.

In regards to the Hamas-Israel conflict, Hillary Clinton has said a ceasefire between the two would end up helping Hamas.
“People who are calling for a ceasefire now do not understand Hamas, that is not possible. it would be such a gift to Hamas because they would spend whatever time there was a ceasefire in effect rebuilding their armaments, creating stronger positions to be able to fend off an eventual assault by the Israelis,” Clinton said.

A day before the protestors walked out of Clinton’s lecture, Columbia University’s president announced that she is working on a Doxing Resource Group that will help stop the doxxing of pro-Hamas protestors and other students in the future.

For whatever reason, Clinton can’t seem to escape these protests, even though this one wasn’t specifically targeted towards her.
And with pro-Hamas and Palestinian supporters littered across Columbia’s campus, the former first lady is likely to encounter more demonstrations over her position of being against a ceasefire.
