The Biden administration delivers Congress an ominous warning that they can’t ignore

The current presidential admin has made pleas to Congress before. But none as monumental as this.

And the Biden administration delivers Congress an ominous warning that they can’t ignore.

The world is in current upheaval with multiple large-scale conflicts breaking out.

Most notably is the Ukraine-Russia war and the Israel-Hamas war.

Both have gotten the attention and support of the United States who is helping to provide aid to Ukraine and Israel.

Democrats especially, have been adamant on providing funds to Ukraine as they continue their nearly 2-year-long war effort against Russia.

Republicans, however, do not agree with the amount of taxpayer funds in which the Biden administration has sent to Ukraine.

According to CNN, $110 billion has already been sent to the European nation.

And now, Biden and his officials are warning Congress that the United States will soon run out of funds to provide to Ukraine by the end of the year.

President Biden’s Budget Director Shalanda Young penned a letter to Republican and Democrat leaders in the U.S. House and Senate to convince them to provide more funds in Ukrainian aid.

“I write to you today…to express the acute urgency we face as Congress weighs whether we continue to fight for freedom across the globe or we ignore the lessons we have learned from history and let Putin and autocracy prevail,” Young wrote.

“I want to be clear: without congressional action, by the end of the year, we will run out of resources to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from US military stocks. There is no magical pot of funding available to meet this moment. We are out of money – and nearly out of time.”

Young also explained that not being able to assist Ukraine will increase “the likelihood of Russian military victories” and “kneecap Ukraine on the battlefield.”

She also argued that if the United States doesn’t help Ukraine defend itself, then America’s national security will be at jeopardy.

But as inflation continues to run rampant and Americans are struggling to get by under Biden’s poor economy, the move to approve more money to Ukraine is becoming more unpopular.

Thankfully some politicians are noticing this and are working to put a stop to Ukraine funding.

Most notably is Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) who back in September announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he would oppose “any effort to hold the federal government hostage for Ukraine funding.”

Simply put, Americans are growing tired with financing a war that they aren’t even involved in.
