Biden’s DOJ made this announcement that could end Trump’s 2024 run

Donald Trump

The DOJ under the direction of Biden’s pick for Attorney General Merrick Garland has grown increasingly partisan. But they have their eyes set Donald Trump.

And now Biden’s DOJ has made this announcement that could put an end to Trump’s 2024 run.

Many Americans as of late have been critical of just how partisan the DOJ has become under Biden’s “leadership.”

They’ve raided conservatives and pro-lifers left and right this year, with some cases more egregious than others.

So when Donald Trump left the White House in January 2021, it was only the beginning to the battles he would face against his fiercest opponents.

The entire radical Left in cooperation with the Fake News Media would go on to launch investigation after investigation to prevent him from being able to run in 2024.

This meant you could bet that the DOJ would get involved in the war against Trump’s potential for a 2024 White House run.

And that’s exactly what’s happened.

The FBI and the DOJ raided Trump’s house in Mar-a-Lago as he’s been accused of stealing classified documents that Trump says he declassified.

Add on top of that the Jan. 6 committee breathing down the neck of Donald Trump, though thus far there’s been no wrongdoing come up on the part of Trump.

The DOJ announced that Trump would be investigated regarding these two matters.

And it seems like those investigations are about to be underway as a special counsel has been appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate both the Jan. 6 events and the Mar-a-Lago raid.

The former federal prosecutor Jack Smith will be the special counsel for both of those cases.

CNBC reports

The first investigation that Smith will begin immediately handling is looking into whether any person, including Trump, unlawfully interfered with the transfer of presidential power following the 2020 election, or the certification of the Electoral College vote in President Joe Biden’s favor on Jan. 6, 2021.

The other DOJ probe that Smith will oversee is focused on whether Trump broke the law and obstructed justice in connection with his removal of hundreds of documents from the White House, which were shipped to his residence at Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Garland noted that he was announcing the special counsel now because Trump literally just announced his 2024 candidacy.

“Based on recent developments, including the former president’s announcement that he is a candidate for president in the next election and the sitting president’s stated intention to be a candidate as well, I have concluded that it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel,” Garland said.

The Donald Trump corner responded with a statement that read “This is a totally expected political stunt by a feckless, politicized, weaponized Biden Department of Justice.”

The timing of the announcement of the special counsel appointment certainly seems fishy to say the least.

Add that to the reality that this year has been a particularly hot year for the DOJ as they’ve been launching raid after raid against those in conservative camps, and it just seems like this whole “investigation” reeks.

But only time will tell what the investigations bring.
