Biden’s border crisis is a complete catastrophe. But it’s far more serious than anyone ever thought.
And Border Patrol just uncovered an alarming situation that has Biden sick to his stomach.
A record number of migrant families crossed the US-Mexico border in August, according to a shocking new report published this week after The Washington Post discovered that US officials mysteriously welded open more than 100 gates along the Arizona border.
According to preliminary data obtained by the Washington Post, US Border Patrol authorities apprehended at least 91,000 migrants who crossed the border in family groups, breaking the previous one-month record of 84,486 migrant families arrested in May 2019 during the Trump administration.
Migrant families surpassed single adults as the largest demographic group crossing the border in August for the first time since President Biden took office in 2020.
The August tally takes the total number of “family member units” surrendering at the border this fiscal year to more than 500,000, a new high.
The number of unaccompanied youngsters entering the nation has also increased significantly, according to officials.
The increase in unlawful crossings coincides with the revelation by The Washington Post that US officials have welded open 114 enormous gates along the Arizona border to enable water to flow freely during the yearly monsoon season, which generally lasts from June to September.
The Department of Homeland Security’s Erin Heeter blamed the continual stream of crossings on “ebbs and flows of migrants arriving, fueled by seasonal trends and smugglers’ efforts to prey on vulnerable migrants and encourage migration.”
The latest numbers from Customs and Border Protection show that more than 54,000 migrants were processed at the US border in August. Under the Biden administration, up to 1,450 migrants can use a mobile app to make an appointment to enter the country officially.
The total number of migrants contacted by CBP officials along the southern border in August reached around 230,000, the highest one-month figure in 2023.
Overall, border arrests increased by more than 30% from July to August, following a dramatic drop in May and June, when the Biden administration imposed additional migration restrictions.
However, Heeter stated that the government increased deportation planes transporting families in August and has repatriated nearly 17,000 parents and children since May.
She stated that the Biden administration is attempting to reduce the number of illegal border crossings by expanding legal immigration and increasing penalties for border crossings.
Each month, almost 30,000 candidates from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela are accepted into one such program, where they are granted permission to live and work in the United States for two years if they have a financial sponsor and pass background checks.
The parole program permits migrants to fly into the country rather than crossing at the border.
So basically, the Biden administration is hiding the number of people who are coming to this country illegally by allowing them to enter “legally.”
There aren’t really any requirements or vetting done, but it keeps the border crossing numbers from skyrocketing and hurting Biden.
Meanwhile, Americans suffer…typical.
