Trump needs as much support as he can get heading into the general election. But some of his so-called loyalists are tossing him aside.
And Donald Trump is shaking with anger after being betrayed by this former ally.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who was a staff member of former President Donald Trump, has recently revealed that she will “absolutely consider” voting for Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
Hutchinson made the comments while appearing on CNN.
“I would absolutely consider voting for President Biden,” Hutchinson told host Kaitlan Collins.
“I would encourage, I would never tell Americans how to vote, but I do know there are a lot of Americans who currently are on the fence about who to vote for. And these are active conversations that we need to engage in over the next six, seven months.”
She then bashed Trump for the so-called “damage” he’s done to democracy and warned that a second term with him in the Oval Office could cause further damage.
“But I would encourage people on that fence to really do a deep dive and look at the damage that Donald Trump has done to our democracy and what he would continue to do in a potential second Trump term and to really weigh that when they’re considering who to vote for,” Hutchinson said.
When the January 6 committee hearings took place, Hutchinson was one of the biggest witnesses to testify.
She made several claims about Trump that seemed outlandish, such as suggesting that he tried to overtake the presidential limousine during January 6, 2021, so he could drive over and see his supporters at the U.S. Capitol.
A recent House Republican report came out which claims that Hutchinson’s “sensational story” about Trump and the limousine isn’t true.
Other parts of her testimony were also deemed to have been lacking in truthfulness, according to the report.
But either way, Hutchinson was able to get a book deal from her testimony, and now appears on Left-wing media outlets like CNN.
She continued in her interview with Collins by arguing that a candidate’s character is much more important than their policy decisions in this year’s election. She also attacked Trump’s character unsurprisingly.
“Policy is important for who we elect to the Oval Office. But what I argue, especially in this next election cycle, is the character of the individual matters far more than any policy that they may or may not implement,” Hutchinson stated.
“Donald Trump’s character has been evident for a very long time, but he’s had a team of people around him who have really isolated him in this false identity of a strong man.”
Look, Cassidy Hutchinson is still trying to make a quick buck from criticizing Donald Trump publicly.
And the Left values what she has to say because she used to work for the former president.
But most people can see through her get-rich-quick scheme.
