Leftists target firefighters with a devastating investigation

New York Attorney General Letitia James

Democrats have always taken steps to put down Americans who work hard to keep this country safe. But this time they went too far.

And radical Leftists target firefighters with a devastating investigation.

Last week, New York Attorney General Letitia James made an appearance at an event that was held for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) in Brooklyn.

James was met with a chorus of boos when she approached the podium to speak, as well as chants of “Trump! Trump! Trump! Trump!”

“Oh, come on,” James said to the crowd of firefighters. “We’re in a house of God. First, simmer down.”

“Thank you for getting it out of your system,” James added.

The attorney general was recently able to win a $454 million civil fraud case against former President Donald Trump.

Trump is currently appealing the ruling, but his supporters are none too pleased with James’ actions in bringing the case against him in the first place.

And that’s why some of the firefighters made it a point to let James know their displeasure of her at the Brooklyn event last week.

But now a memo has been released to FDNY firehouses, warning them that an investigation will take place over their “grossly inappropriate” conduct during the event.

“When you’re not on duty, fell however you want about politicians,” the memo, which the New York Post was able to obtain, read.

“Vote. Protest. That’s your right. But don’t do it on the job’s time, on other members’ time, or on their families’ time. Do it on your own time.”

The memo also stated that the Bureau of Investigations and Trials (BITS) of the fire department was going to target those who made disruptions when James got up to speak.

The document explained that firefighters “should understand that BITS is gathering video and identifying members that brought discredit … to the department.”

“We want the members to come forward. They will come to HQ to be educated [on] why their behavior is unacceptable.”

Jim Long, a spokesman for FDNY said that the investigation has nothing to do about politics and is instead about “professionalism at an official event.”

“Nobody is hunting anyone down,” Long explained.

But New York City councilwoman thinks that FDNY leadership has taken a misstep in having an investigation launched.

“Everyone should be entitled to their First Amendment rights, city worker or not,” Councilwoman Ariola said.

We can all but wonder if these firefighters would be treated this way if they had booed a Republican politician and chanted Joe Biden’s name instead.

We’ll let you answer that question for yourself.
