All eyes are on the former president as he seeks a second presidential term. But some have shifted towards the former Fox News host.
That’s because Tucker Carlson’s name is leaked in new rumors involving Donald Trump.
The media as well as voters, have been dying to know who former President Trump will pick as his Vice President.
Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. has made hints and continues to do so while making appearances on several media outlets.
His latest appearance on Newsmax TV’s “Wake Up America” last Thursday, involved him telling host Rob Finnerty his father’s thoughts on who his running mate will be.
“So Trump has already said that he’s picked his VP, but he can’t tell us. Back in 2016, he didn’t pick somebody that was running for president. He chose Mike Pence, who at the time was not a candidate for president. Could you see your father running with Ron DeSantis?” Finnerty asked.
“You know, I would do whatever I could to make sure it wasn’t Nikki Haley. But you know, but like a Ron DeSantis, could I see? You’re never gonna rule out someone that is a leading contender,” Trump Jr. responded.
“It doesn’t mean that’s who you go with. I could see other people that would be great. I’d love to see you know a J.D. Vance. I’d love to see a Tucker Carlson.”
“Don, is your dad serious about Tucker Carlson? Are those rumors serious?” Finnerty asked.
“That clearly would be on the table, right?” I mean they’re very friendly, I think they agree on virtually all of these things. They certainly agree on stopping the never-ending wars,” Trump Jr. responded.
“And so, I would love to see that happen. That would certainly be a contender.”

Tucker Carlson, the conservative commentator and former Fox News host, has had his name come up before in discussions on who Trump’s next Vice President may be.
In fact, former first lady Melania Trump has said before that she would like for Carlson to be considered by her husband as his running mate.
Like in his interview with Finnerty on Newsmax TV, Trump Jr. has expressed his preferences as well, specifically making the preference that his father not pick former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as his VP.
Haley has been deemed the establishment candidate by staunch conservatives who feel like she would turn voters off from pulling the lever for Trump this November.
Tucker Carlson himself has said that Haley’s presence on a Trump ticket would be a deal breaker for him.
Carlson has also hinted that being a politician isn’t really something he’s interested in.
But would he put those feelings aside to join his friend and ally, Donald Trump? We’ll find out soon enough.
