The world is a dangerous place. And it keeps getting worse.
That’s because U.S. officials unveiled a terrifying update about a terrorist plot.
According to U.S. intelligence officials, Hezbollah, a Lebanese terrorist organization, is feared to be planning and launching a terrorist attack on America.
This is a result of high tensions due to their recent attack on Israel.
Four anonymous intelligence officials told Politico that Hezbollah would probably go after the U.S. military in the Middle East, but could also launch an attack on U.S. soil.
“Hezbollah could draw on the capability they have…to put people [in] places to do something,” an official said.
“It is something to be worried about.”
Last Sunday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken also delivered a warning about the “profound tension in the region,” in the Middle East.
“This is a conflict that could easily metastasize,” he said.
Hezbollah is more motivated to attack if Israel does not cease their military operations in Gaza, one of the officials explained.
The terrorist group started attacking Israel with rocket fire soon after the Jewish nation was attacked by Hamas on October 7.
It was at first believed that Hezbollah would want no part in involving itself in a conflict with America.
“Iran, Hezbollah, and their linked proxies are trying to calibrate their activity, avoiding actions that would open up a concerted second front with the US or Israel while still exacting costs in the midst of the current conflict,” director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Christy Abizaid, told Congress during a hearing in October.
“This is a very fine line to walk, and in the present regional context, their actions carry the potential for miscalculation.”
But since her statements, Israel and Hezbollah have had heightened tensions, with one military official for Israel concerned that “another war” could start.
There has been increasing worry that terrorists could sneak their way through the southern border and launch an attack that way.
Thanks to Joe Biden and his administration, that border is basically wide open, allowing anyone and everyone to waltz right in with hardly any apprehension.
It’s vital that it’s shut and closed immediately to prohibit any sort of dangerous threat that might make its way in.
Hopefully Biden and the Democrats listen to these threats that are being seriously discussed.
