Republican congressman’s office attacked by unhinged mob

Rep. John Carter

Politics can get messy at times. But this incident definitely crossed the line in a major way.

As this Republican congressman’s office was brutally attacked by an unhinged mob.

The political climate in the United States has reached a boiling point.

It’s almost impossible to disagree with someone politically but keep things friendly and respectful at the same time.

Not only that, but protestors across the country have become increasingly unhinged and more emboldened to intimidate politicians they don’t like or agree with.

That was the case earlier this week after Rep. John Carter’s (R-TX) office in Georgetown, Texas was heavily vandalized.

Anti-Israel protestors, according to Carter, are responsible for the vandalization which involved red paint being splattered on the sidewalk in front of the office and the front door.

“Free Gaza” was also written in red paint on the sidewalk, leading to Carter to believe that this was the doing of anti-Israel demonstrators.

“Unhinged anti-Israel activists vandalized my Georgetown office. Let me make 2 things clear, my support for Israel is unwavering & your intimidation won’t work,” Carter said in a post on X.

“Secondly, the parties responsible will be found & will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Both Republican and Democrat politicians have experienced this type of intimidation from rabid protestors who are against their support of Israel.

Ever since Hamas attacked Israel in October of last year, which left about 1,200 Israelis dead, the issue of supporting the Jewish nation has been a controversial one.

Currently, there are anti-Israel demonstrations happening on college campuses across the country.

The most notable of those is the protest (which has turned into an encampment of anti-Israel students) at Columbia University in New York.

That protest also led to the arrest of Isra Hirsi, the daughter of radical Leftist Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN), last week for her role and participation in the encampment.

Hirsi was one of over 100 protestors who were arrested.

As for Rep. Carter and his office, they did not respond to a request for a comment from Breitbart News regarding the incident.

But it’s likely that Carter and others who are pro-Israel, will endure more of these acts of vandalism in the near future.
