The Left has been out to get the former president for years now. They want nothing more than to destroy him.
And this leading Democrat just threatened to do this one heinous thing to Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is currently facing multiple legal challenges in court.
Leftist prosecutors are doing all they can to convict him as a felon and sentence him to prison for a multitude of alleged crimes.
And Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) proposed legislation last Friday that would make a felony status for Trump just the beginning of his troubles.
In the new legislation, Thompson suggests that “convicted felons sentenced to prison” would not get any protection from Secret Service.
Since Trump is a former president, he currently has Secret Service protection. But under Thompson’s proposed bill, if Trump ends up getting convicted as a felon, he would no longer receive that protection.
“Unfortunately, current law doesn’t anticipate how Secret Service protection would impact the felony prison sentence of a protectee-even a former President. It is regrettable that it has come to this, but this previously unthought-of scenario could become our reality,” Thompson said in a statement.
“Therefore, it is necessary for us to be prepared and update the law so the American people can be assured that protective status does not translate into special treatment and that those who are sentenced to prison will indeed serve the time required of them.”

The bills name, which is the Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable (DISGRACED) Former Protectees Act, would “terminate for any person upon sentencing following conviction for a Federal or State offense that is punishable for a term of imprisonment of a least one year.”
Thompson also said that the DISGRACED Former Protectees Act “would remove the potential for conflicting lines of authority within prisons and allow judges to weigh the sentencing of individuals without having to factor in the logistical concerns of convicts with Secret Service protection.”
Former President Trump’s name is not seen anywhere in the text of the legislation, but the fact sheet of the bill states that “former President Donald J. Trump’s unprecedented 91 felony charges in Federal and State courts across the country have created a new exigency that Congress must address to ensure Secret Service protection does not interfere with the criminal judicial process and the administration of justice.”
The Washington Examiner’s Chief Political Correspondent, Byron York, believes that the “goal of Thompson’s bill” is to make it “easier for someone to k*ll Trump.”
“Now, Thompson wants to take away Trump’s Secret Service protection if Trump is convicted on any of the 88 felony charges leveled against him by elected Democratic prosecutors and a Biden Justice Department appointee,” wrote York.
“Obvious subtext here is that removing USSS would make it easier for someone to k*ll Trump, which is arguably the goal of Thompson’s bill, H.R. 8081: The DISGRACED Former Protectees Act.”
There’s no evidence that Rep. Thompson is hoping Donald Trump is m*rdered in prison.
But it’s hard to deny that the Left wouldn’t bat an eye if something were to happen to the former president should he be sentenced to time behind bars.
Most Democrats genuinely hate Trump and are actively rooting for his demise in one way or another.
