The former president’s legal woes continue. And the Left is trying to make things increasingly difficult for him.
As Donald Trump is threatened with jail time during contentious court case.
The Manhattan district attorney (DA) is not holding back in trying to punish former President Donald Trump in his hush-money trial.
Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan DA, announced on Tuesday that Trump should be tossed in jail for 30 days if he violates Judge Juan Merchan’s gag order.
Bragg and his office suggested through a filing of a motion that if Trump speaks in public about members of the jury, court staff, or witnesses, then he should be subject to more fines or even time in jail.
“This Court should again admonish defendant to comply with his obligations under the order. And finally, this Court should warn defendant that future violations of the Court’s restrictions on his extrajudicial statements can be punished not only with additional fines, but also with a term of incarceration of up to thirty days,” Bragg’s filed motion said.
“It is absolutely critical that defendant immediately halt any conduct that would violate the April 1 order’s narrow restrictions to protect the integrity of the ongoing trial.”
“A finding of criminal contempt, imposition of sanctions, and stark warnings from this Court are the minimum remedies necessary to achieve this indispensable objective.”

Bragg’s filing also suggests that the former president has already violated the gag order three times.
Each violation would result in a fine of $1,000.
The Manhattan DA also implies that Trump’s posts on social media about adult film star Stormy Daniels and his former attorney Michael Cohen, could be a violation of the gag order because he’s speaking out against “known witnesses” which would “unquestionably violate the Court’s April 1 order.”

Trump is also dealing with Judge Merchan’s harsh restrictions thus far in the case.
Merchan recently signed an order that will result in Trump not being able to miss court so that he can see his son’s graduation.

The Leftist judges and prosecutors have been ruthless to Donald Trump so far doing many of his ongoing legal cases.
They’re treating him unfairly and as if he’s committed some awful, violent crime.
And as Trump as pointed out many times before, these trials are political witch hunts to try and destroy him before the presidential election in November.
